The H3 Max prompt formula that actually works
H3 Max follows prompts far better than earlier video models — so the biggest quality lever is what you write. Use the five-part formula.
Opens the generator with this prompt filled in.
The formula
[Subject] + [Environment] + [Camera move] + [Lighting] + [Mood]
Example: "A golden retriever on a beach at sunset, camera orbits slowly, warm backlight, joyful"
Use this example →Break it down
1. Subject
Be specific. 'A woman in a red coat' renders better than 'a person'. Name the action too: walking, reaching, turning.
2. Environment
Where is this? Setting drives the whole palette: 'a rainy neon alley in Osaka', 'a white minimalist studio', 'wheat field at dusk'.
3. Camera move
The single strongest lever. Choose from: slow push-in, orbit, dolly, FPV flight, pull-back reveal, tracking shot, tilt down.
4. Lighting
Golden hour, volumetric light, neon glow, soft studio, dramatic rim light, backlight. Light creates the cinematic feel.
5. Mood
One word seals the tone: warm, epic, moody, playful, calm, cinematic, mysterious.
Common mistakes
- Conflicting instructions — start with one clear action, then add only details that matter.
- Unspecified framing — say whether the camera should stay still or move; either can be intentional.
- Unlicensed likenesses or brands — obtain necessary permissions and follow the provider's safety policies.
- Too many actions for the duration — test a short clip first and inspect continuity before making a longer request.
